You may remember Chrome Horse Saloon being an anchor destination in the area of SE Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The area now known as New Bohemia or "NewBo" as residents call it.
Chrome Horse Saloon used to reside at 1202 3rd Street SE, Cedar Rapids, IA in the Historic ZCBJ Czech Theatre Building on the ground floor.
It survived the flood of 2008, and several smaller flooding events until tragedy struck in July 2014. A fire broke out in the kitchen, after hours, and caused extensive damage to the entire building. Chrome was forced to close for a brief period of time until re-opening a new location at 1140 Blairs Ferry Rd NE, Cedar Rapids. This location is doing well and has paved the way back to NewBo!

The new layout of the location lends to listening to live music, you have a separate bar, away from the bands, to have meaningful conversation. The Famous "Rider Room" is available for special occasions to add a bit of privacy to your event. The outdoor patio area is getting a redesign, just in time for the summer music season. Bands will be playing right on the patio this summer!
